Ya I have applied 2 months before my visa expired..Guru's any expert on this forum knows aout the period of stay after an appeal for h1 extension denial..
Unless you receive the denial letter from the USCIS we cannot give any advise. We need to know the reason. If its a trivial matter or not you can definitely do MTR and provide additional information. However this seems to be a case where USCIS has been overzealous in denying the case.
They might be asking some kind of Agreement or Letter from client based on the recent denials. Please be prepared to get such a letter from your client stating the extent of your project ( try to get a letter for the extent of your H1 or beyond that to cover yourself).

First thing, price , leg space, comfort & food ...All 4 it is difficult to get the best.
Cheapest would be air India. However service/food is bad. Also they keep changing schedule.
Singapore airlines/Cathay pacific service/food is good. Leg space is also better and
priced slightly higher than AIr India.
So I recommend these 2 (Singapore/Cathay)

Can anyone confirm that only Driver License is required for this cruise? NCL told me so, but I�d like to hear from someone who already sailed. Also, do you have to go through Customs or Immigration upon returning? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I-140 E-filed - 08/16/2007. Got Online Receipt. Sent the required Documents to USCIS after a week.
I-485/EAD/AP - Posted on 08/16/2007. Included the Online Labor Approval Petition without signatures and Online receipt of I-140.
Received USCIS on 08/17/2007.
Waiting for Receipts.
Don't know whether it will be accepted or will get an RFE.

My checks cashed today, got receipts from back of checks...have 4 different receipt numbers, used it to check on uscis...
my concerns..
case was sent to nebraska though should've been texas as employer is in NY, so thought it would be transfered...it wasn't. it shows at nebraska
4 different receipt numbers show 1 case for 140, 1 case for AP, and 2 cases for 485???? 2????... NO EAD. (my check for 485/ead were one check though in it's memo part i put 485/ead). what should i do? now my ead will be delayed cause i have no case for that.
they can't reject a case after cashing checks, right???? i mean they can ask for RFE esp for my missing labor hard copy approval, but not reject. why cash in first place then??? right???

So what is the roler of a broker/ real estate agent for a buyer.
If I choose to deal directly with the seller, what are the things I need to do myself and can you explain the "attorney" part that you mentioned.

and the seller basically prices it into the sale price... which why when buying next time .. i would ask to deal with the seller directly.. get an attorney to do the paperwork and diligence for $600 and ask the seller to keep 1% and give me a 5% discount.lil leg work and you save like 25k on 500k house.

I received the very heartbreaking news that my EB3 PERM application filed OCT 2007 (with audit) was denied. Audit was requesting a copy of the Newspaper AD which the lawyer sent last NOV 2007. Reson for denial was because the copy that the DOL recieved was not clear and some words as part of the Newspaper name was missing.... An appeal will be filed soon.
Any suggestions from the gurus?
I have bachelors with more than 5 years of experience, is it adviseable to file new PERM under EB2 category?
For people who filed motion for an appeal, could you please post your feedbacks/experiences?

My wife when she went to india did the same. Means Submitted all the i-94 including the one which was with the 797.
While returning from india she did not get the i-94 upto the 797 approval date, she got it upto the Visa expiry date.
When i went to the Border Security Officer mentioned that the i-94 which you receive with 797 is for your reference, you are not supposed to give it to anybody.
I had to apply for the extension because i did't have any proof with me for my wife on the i-94.
I submitted all my I-94s including that on the 797. If you notice closely, they all have the same number on the top left corner. By issuing an I-94 with the 797, USCIS confirms that your original I-94 that you received at the POE has been extended. They are not valid after you leave the country as you get a new I-94 with a new number. You can go to an USCIS office and get your wife's I-94 corrected to the 797 date.

Just heard this from my friend. His case is exactly the same (I140-NSC approved, July 2nd 9:01 R.Mickels filer). His got transferred to Texas and got receipts last week. No EAD's yet. Got receipt for FP date today.

They r a bloodly lazy bunch they sit on ur passport and do nothing. So please take the day off and go collect it. I called them atleast a hundred times and basically our passport was ready and they have not mailed it. so please keep calling endlessly they will pickup at some point but my advice is go and collect it urself.

I may have to travel urgently to India by end of this month. Just wondering if anyone recently got their passport renewed at DC and what was the duration. It will help me to take the decision about departure date. Unfortunately DC is 5 hours drive from where I live. I am not sure even if take a day off and drive to DC to collect the passport they will even give it to me on the same day. Multiple attempts to contact DC office via phone/email were not helpful. No one picks the phone and their voice mail system is always full. Any advise on what I should to do know status of my passport renewal would be appreciated.

Should she change her name prior to applying I-485 or she can do it after we applying I-485.
How easy it�ll be to change last name while I-140 and I-485 pending?
