My parents travelled both on Cathay and JAL. Cathay has better food , but the flight to SFO is really long. They had used JAL before which has approx 8-10 hrs for each leg. Also, on the return , there is a days halt , so they provide a hotel. My parents took a small tour of the area too.

I took a new job and transferred my H1B with new employer. But my GC process is with the same old employer and his attorney. Do I now have to file AC21 ? I changed my job with new responsibilities.
It is your choice if you want to invoke AC21 or not. A lot of people (like me) do not inform USCIS and change job after 180 day of filing 485 and wait to either get GC or to get an RFE.
Some people dont want RFE at the time when PD is current for them and hence send out letter to USCIS about job change invoking AC21.
There is no right or wrong thing and one choses what he/she feels good about + whatever attorney suggests. You can decide for yourself what you want to do.

All you need is Affidavits from you Father, Mother and any other close relative. Ask them to go to your local court house. There will be people sitting there who do prepare affidavits and notarize them. They need to do it on 10 Rupees stamp paper and get it notarized. They shall have the date of birth affidavit template at court house.
Once they have them, ask them to scan and send them to you to save time. Also ask them to DHL the originals so that you could recieve in 2 or 3days.

I opened SR in Jan...took infopass last week...NOTHING..stupid people are saying that my namecheck is going on..i applied 140 and 485 in July...i140 not yet approved...no FP also...blackhole...

I am planning to attend an Visa interview, at present I am on H4 status.
My case is: Gor H4 in sept 2006 - April 2008, and got stamping
Later got H1 from Oct 2007 to oct 2010, and got stamping
Present Got H4 from sept 2009 to may 2011 and no stamping yet and hence planning to go for stamping
Question 1) But when I am selcting the appontment date it ask's for a question
" Are you applying for same visa class that expired in the last 12 months?" so In my case would it be yes or no?
2) Does H4 and H1 come under same Visa Class?
please reply ASAP, As I am planning to schedule an appt immediately

Take copies of your I-94 front and back and then submit them at the airport you board the international flight out of the US. When you come back, you will be filling in a new I-94 based on the latest H1/H4 date which you will show the border officer. (I am only stating this purely when your fly, I don't have experience by land)

I wish my company attorney could understand the basic ENGLISH instructions. Worst part, still doesn't admit his mistake and keeps pointing to the receipt issued by USCIS.
Btw, I took Infopass appointment and went today to ask what should I do....given USCIS has issued receipt notice
The officer responded similar to my attorney's response, stating given that USCIS has issued receipt, they are working on my appl and I may not need to send the fee..BUT he admitted that the fee was required..
In short, still not sure what to do....
I think both your attorney and the Infopass official are right. The app fee is part of the initial evidence (documents) that are verified before the case is accepted. Since the receipt has been issued it seems the receipting agent has overlooked that the fee was required. But again, this is USCIS that we are talking about!!
Just my 2c and not a recommendation one way or the other!!

Thanks friends. Just a reminder. I am not using any pre approved labor. This labor was mine. The company filed it for me in august 2003. Then I 140 was filed in may 2006 after labor approval.
That I 140 was denied after an RFE in april 2007. My lawyer appealed for it, so the appeal is pending on that I 140.
Now My laywer suggests that I file another I 140 with the same labor, while the appeal is pending on that first I 140. He says that if USCIS asks for which one to keep, he will continue with the new one and scrap the old one. Either of them get approved, I can avoid the other.
Is it possible?

All depends on spillover; it’s basically "NO SPILLOVER NO CHANGE". So just hoping for spillover to happen. I believe that the current bulletin might just come out late this week or early next week.

1- I canceled a business meeting - employer didn't like it
2- I moved business travel around the rally, my boss also had to reschedule
3- I am flying in from Texas

I thought the same about the officer . Now , am in the second category..Have an H1 but my i94 is on H4 stamping ..I hold an Indian passport , do you know if i should get the H1 stamping (first time stamping) in India or can i conveniently get it done in Canada?
