Really disappointing. Senator Schumer says on the one hand that the targeted companies are not violating the law and on the other says they are underpaying their workers - which would be a violation of the law. Which is it? And he disparages the entire staffing industry - an industry that in the US employs far more American citizens than immigrants - by questioning the legitimacy of the business model and complaining that these companies don't make anything. Hello,
If one gets stuck with H1b revalidation, and then gets approved after 6 months. Is there any issues when coming back to the US at the POE entry?

Hi ,
1.My wife works for part ime H1b. She has her H1B till Aug 2011. She would Like to apply for her GC. Can she apply for labor certification with part time job? She can get a full time job after she gets in to adjustment of status. She doesn't want full time job now as our kids are still small.
2.I have a fulltime H1B and Approved I-140 EB2. PD sept 2007, waiting for retrogression to file 485!!!! god know when that will happen.Can I apply for EB1 while my EB2 pending?
I have good credential to meet EB1.

I'm about to start reading British native Simon Winchester's 2003 bestseller Krakatoa: The Day the World Exploded about the massive Indonesian volcano. I've always had a fascination with natural disasters all the way back to writing a junior high school research paper on hurricanes when I was growing up in Miami. Hi,
My H1 was denied the last cycle. The denial decision was posted on Nov 24th. My application was in RFE state for quite some time, hence the delay. The question that I have is, as the denial came very late, will I be able to apply for an H1B this year. We generally file all our documents on 3.31, I am wondering if I would not be eligible this year because 3.31 is not 6 months from 11.24. There is an rule that I cannot apply if there has been a denial in the recent 6 months. Please let me know if that is the case. Will I be ineligible for this year (3.2010).
I am currently in my 4th year on a L1.

Hi,
Im having my H1B and 140 approved with my current employer. Now I got into a situation where in I need to file a new H1B with a new employer through whom im working on a project.But once my H1B is approved, my new employer will dismiss/cancel the new H1b Filed, as they just need to show that they filed a H1B for me.
Will this be a problem for my current 140 and GC processing or my existing H1B?
Coz that Im not going to use my new H1B, I can still continue using my current I94 right!
Any issues if my new H1b gets rejectd or queried!

Hi,
My sister is a citizen and she applied GC for my parents who are in India.She applied for I-130 in April and it was approved in 2 months.She now has to fill the form I-864 and is in the process of doing so.Meanwhile my parents would like to visit USA.They'll be coming in December and be staying for 6 mos.They have a 10 yr visa and visited us back in 2004.
My question is it ok for them to visit USA?I read that they might be denied entry becasue of their approved I-130.We do not want to apply AOS here and they will return in June 09.
Thanks for any advice.

We can see more of these GC approvals and visa number allocation in September because USCIS and DOS have to use up all available visa numbers.

What not to wear in court. In court one should present oneself as professionally as possible. Usually this means a suit for men, and a conservative dressy outfit for women. No jeans in any case, and business casual may even be too casual, so khakis may even be somewhat under-dressed. But I suppose it depends on the court.

How can I transfer a raw file into a jpg file in Photoshop? It only give me a few options-tiff., phtshp, ect... I want to upload a few pics and can't figure it out.

My AP approvals are lost in mail, my employer mailed them in ordinary mail during holiday season (12/11/07). What can I do next? Go thru attorney for duplicates? Please advice.
